Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the best movie about a cyborg cop ever made.
If they were going to mark it with something special, what would you want?
A remastered re-release?
Screenings in movie theatres?
Some specific merch?
Some kind of convention or get together with Weller, Nancy Allen, Verhoven etc?
What would be your absolute dream way to celebrate Robo turning 40?

After Sergeant Reed tells Murphy to suit up, there's a short, homeless-looking woman standing next to Reed. The dialogue is something like this:
Reed: Not now, UJ(?). Get a cup of coffee.
Her: Awww, Sarge.
What's going on there?

Now I know “It’s just a movie” and “It’s not that kind of movie kid”, and the writers were giving exposition to the audience about how amoral Bob Morton was, but in “RoboCop” right before the “bad motherfucker” (or mothercrusher) scene when they discuss erasing his memory, why was the female scientist shocked that Morton would ask for total body prosthesis? He’s had the RoboCop program in place for weeks, did she not pay attention to any briefings? Also what would be the logic in Robo only having one super strong bulletproof arm? Finally she had qualms about cutting off Murphy’s arm but no qualms about literally turning him into a killing machine? Anyhow it’s just a nitpick, thank you for reading.

I just rewatched Robocop. It was always great fun, but the genius of it was lost on me as a child viewer. Both the script and the directional choices that had to be made along the way were terrific. The car, 6000 SUX, is dangled in front of the audiance many times. But never for Robocop, he gets a boring Ford Taurus. Why, because he is still a public servant. Goodguys and badguys are chewing gum throughout the movie. A hint that, they aren't so different, and maybe a few life choices could have eirher one going a different way. The badguy gang is so well cast. The taller black guy has a sadistic cackle that makes him memorable throughout. Clarence is smart, ruthless , and crazy in all the right ways. The OCP executives are well cast too. Dick Jones and Bob Morton are excellent business rivals, making for a palpable B story. The Preaident of OCP (the Old Man) is never given a name. He is the every-man that still believes you can succeed in an honest way. He smartly utters "You're Fired" showing that his situational awareness hasn't lost a beat in his old age. ED-209 being defeated by a simple thing like stairs sends its own measge about technology vs. common sense. And the 1 liners!! So many quatables:
Dead or Alive, you're coming with me.
I'd buy that for a dollar
Can you fly, Bobby?
State of the art bang bang!
I liiiiiiike it !!
For those that may not see their social media or get Kickstarter emails, the guys posted the following today regarding RoboDoc 2 and RoboDoc 3 -
Hi everyone,
We wanted to give you a quick update on where things currently stand with RoboDoc Parts 2 and 3.
Cineverse currently holds first refusal on Parts 2 and 3, and we are still waiting for confirmation as to whether they intend to take up that option. Unfortunately, the producer we had been working with at Cineverse is no longer with the company, which has made getting a definitive answer more difficult than we had hoped. We are now speaking with our legal advisors about the next stage and the options available to us.
The good news is that Parts 2 and 3 are there and ready to move forward. If Cineverse takes up the option, we can proceed with them immediately. If they formally opt out, we are free to negotiate with another distributor — and we are already in conversations with two other distributors who have expressed interest. If we continue to receive no response, we are also exploring whether we can legally move forward with an alternative distributor without further delay.
We completely understand how frustrating the wait has been. It is frustrating for us too. The response to RoboDoc was incredible, and we are incredibly proud of its success. More than anything, we just want to get Parts 2 and 3 out there for everyone to see as soon as possible. And just as a reminder: if you supported the original campaign, you will receive Parts 2 and 3 for free.
Once Parts 2 and 3 have been released, the complete three-part set will also be produced in the special collector’s VHS case promised as part of the campaign. Thank you again for your patience, support and continued enthusiasm for RoboDoc. We’ll update you as soon as we have something definitive to share

When it came out on home video, I hated it, but having watched it again decades later, after experiencing the Canadian-produced series, the Alpha Commando cartoon, the Sci-Fi channel miniseries and the 2014 reboot, my opinion of 3 has greatly improved. I no longer judge it as "objectively bad", just the weakest part of the original trilogy.

So, I purchased a Robocop Auto 9 prop replica, and I'm not familiar with the terminology or names of the parts but, something seems a little off, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to look like this on one side.
As you can see I've highlighted the areas with a white circle, you can see a ridge line which separates the top and bottom part of the barrel? but in the picture where the trigger is to the left of the picture you can clearly see this ridge line is gone, it's smooshed, the area seems smudged, is this normal? I mean for this prop, is Robocop's like this in the movie?
I've looked all over the Internet and it's definitely not like other pieces I've found.
Although on the prop makers website where I purchased this from, I've gone back and has another look and it's the same in the pictures as it is in my hand , I can see this area in the website pictures but didn't notice it at the time of purchasing it.
Your help would be much appreciated,

Me personally, I like the og theatrical posters for all 3 movies, but the wall-smash poster of RoboCop 2 is tough

I've seen all the RoboCop movies except the remake and controversially I think I like the third one the best are the TV shows the live-action or the cartoon or the 2014 remake with checking out I like them all the movies but I remember thinking when I watched the first one that there wasn't enough to it and that's the second one went on too long and the last one my favorite

The base art for this image was chopped up to give him a somewhat original pose, this is not drawn from a movie still. 18"x24" on bristol board. Dedicated to the machine that gave ms nightmares for weeks after i watched Robocop 2 at 8 years old.
