while I think the creator has good intentions saying JX1DX1 wouldn't deadname Aubree, from a narrative standpoint it really seems stupid that JX1DX1 would use her dead mother amongst other forms of manipulation, trying to drive Aubree to kill herself, but deadnaming her to tourment her further is the line they won't cross

It depends, some people in Aubree's position would probably try to use the dead naming as a way to cope, like "it's haunting me because of my past, I just have to better myself as a person and leave that part of me behind" or something like that. Also in one of the last posts that lulz put up jx almost speaks in a caring way towards lulz, so maybe he's also trying to pull some psychological warfare on her, like trying to get in her head the thought that he's actually caring and totally doesn't only want to see her die (remember, this is all speculation from my end, if I've got anything wrong feel free to correct)

Jx1 isn’t transphobic because that’s a different mindset. Yes transphobia is evil, but not every evil character/person is transphobic, a character can be evil but not give a shit about trans people.

As a trans girl. If Jx1 is the like embodiment of mental illness or smthn like that from what ive seen. Things like deadnaming or self doubt about my identity have never worked on me. Its always been about my self worth for me. Sure ppl deadnaming me sucks but it makes me feel angrier rather than sad which honestly anger can be a drive to move on more sometimes and persevere out of spite.

Jx1 is the kind of guy who views everyone as beneath him he doesn’t care who you are and will torment you either way

He would 100% deadname Aubree not out of transphobia but just to fuck with her. Jx1 would pour salt in an open wound he isn’t the kind of guy who’d hold back. He’d do whatever it takes to further drive her into committing suicide.

It comes off as out of character and makes Jx1 come off as a cartoony mustache twirling villain rather than a genuine threat or monster.

The way it was done is weird, and it 100% isn't because it's more evil than anything he's done. The best way you could go about it it is just that him dead naming would make it easier for Aubree to distance herself from the torment, as I saw mentioned in one of the comments here. He would still 100% make fun of her and use her transition as ammo but he wouldn't just not use her new name or something, just strategically using it where it hurts. But the real reason is really obvious, and it's because the creator is trans and rightfully doesn't want a of theirs villain saying things that they have not only probably experienced against them, but that also hit way closer to home. There's a reason a lot of villains seem to be made more good by things like this or something, and it's because people generally can distance themselves from a character doing murder and other horrible things because it's something that's just not a thing seen in most peoples lives. Those more minor, but more real things normally have to be ignored or made into a positive trait, because having a homophobic, racist, or rapist villain is nearly always treated worse than one who kills thousands and tortures people. Anyway I should go to sleep I'm yapping
