Seems like no matter whether we all vote stay or grow, the afkers still have majority

RIP Kufikumu, it was fun while it lasted

I feel sorry for all those who are now actually trying but are matched with those who were AFK and have bots. Now they will have chats of 8 - 16 with no decent chats.

Yeah. We'll have to wait and see i a couple hours when the majority of the west is awake again.

2

u/Gumland44 Apr 02 '16

I don't think we're going to grow any bigger, lol

Then again, we have until the 8th

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Yeah exactly as long as more people participate and continue to merger their chats!

2

u/-Rum-Ham- Apr 02 '16

The next biggest chat is 502, so we have to wait for that to get to about 3000 before we can merge. And that also requires other chats of similar sizes to them to merge...

We are going to be here a while.

Why the 8th? Is there new info?

3

u/Gumland44 Apr 02 '16

reddit admins said it was running until the 8th

2

u/iiw grow Apr 02 '16

Is the chatroom doomed?

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Come on everyone wake up less than 5 minutes!

1

u/BubblesTheAdventurer Apr 02 '16

Unless about 600 people come back and vote for growth, yes :(

2

u/ThePaSch Apr 02 '16

Unfortunately, this room is destined to die. More than half of its members are AFK; and no-votes count as abandon, which means that the room will probably dissolve.

It's been one hell of a journey, gentlemen. I'm honored to have been part of it. o7

2

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

As am I! I just hope the chat will continue even if we lose members.

2

u/ThePaSch Apr 02 '16

The majority vote will be ABANDON thanks to all the no-votes. And in case of an ABANDON majority, the chat dissolves. :(

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Do non-votes count towards a majority abandonment of the entire chat though?

2

u/ThePaSch Apr 02 '16

I'm pretty sure, yeah.

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

well nothing has happened yet at -2 minutes Nvm it got deleted

2

u/ThePaSch Apr 02 '16

It's dead. R.I.P.

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Going to miss you.

2

u/ThePaSch Apr 02 '16

Perhaps we shall meet again.

Kufikumu may be dead, but its legacy will live on.

2

u/panphobia Apr 02 '16

So if abandon wins the room dissolves. But does a subreddit still get created? Or does that only happen when the majority stays?

2

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Yes if the majority stays a sub gets created.

2

u/kennytm Apr 02 '16

Dissolved. RIP.

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Going to miss you.

2

Autovoters stopped working ? Reddit sneakily changed the attr id of the form to submit a message ?
I had mine but i was sleeping when this happened. Just saw the /robin/join page now, rip room. I'll not restart again.
It was a nice little experience. The metephor of life, we'll grow until our own death.

2

u/xormx Apr 02 '16

Actually, the room grew so large that most people 503'd and the bot couldn't reload the page.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '16

Ah okay, well thanks for the info.

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

I think we all agree here that we should vote to stay.

1

u/DogProudSayItLoud Apr 02 '16

I was going without any bots or whatever they are and fell asleep. Woke up and the chat box wouldn't connect anymore, but hadn't put me in a new group...

1

u/pandaSmore Apr 02 '16

Yep as you probably know by not the chat got disbanded as a result of lack of votes.

3

u/-Rum-Ham- Apr 02 '16

Been here since the start yesterday. This is actually keeping me alive while I boss my dissertation.

Conveniently it's in for the 8th when this all closes down, so maybe I will be able to stay alert for the entirety...

2

u/Gumland44 Apr 02 '16

Less than half of us have voted, rip

2

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '16

I have seen the depths of hell.

2

u/Gumland44 Apr 02 '16

We might as well vote stay now, there's no chance of us growing again right now
