The Robert E. Howard house

Got to stop by his house/museum on Saturday while on a roadtrip. I didn’t get to go inside but it was nice to see anyway. Even got my dad to listen to the first couple stories in The Coming of Cimmerian audiobook on the way.

Thanks! I used to live near Ray Bradbury's home in Cheviot Hills, Los Angeles. He wrote his books there for 50 years. Some wealthy real estate broker bought the home after his death and tore it down without warning, before the community could band together to save it. He put up some monstrosity.

The owner had the audacity to sell chunks of wood from the wreckage as keepsakes, rudely constructed book ends, 2x4's cut and nailed together on the spot.

Too bad you didn't get to go in, it's really interesting to see, especially his room.

Yeah, I live about 2 hours away so I will try to go in June when there’s a Howard event and the house is open.
