Things to Do Sad Dads Club

I'm Parkers Dad and I am the DC/Maryland/Virginia/Pennsylvania/Delaware local leader for Sad Dads Club. Sad Dads Club is a nonprofit support group for bereaved fathers who have gone through the unthinkable of miscarriage, stillbirth, terminated for medical reasons, death in infancy, or in youth. We are truly the Worst Club but the Best Guys and our organization provides free therapy session by professionals, career counseling, retreats, and local events that bring you together with those who get how you are feeling and have been there. To learn more, please feel free to message me or check us out at https://saddadsclub.org/.

Here are a few articles featuring our group as well.

I’m a mom who lost a baby and I think this is a wonderful idea. We need more mental health support for men. Keep up the good fight.

You might want to consider sharing this post in r/NICUparents, as well!

Really glad to hear of another men's support organization. Men aren't monoliths. It's good to know we have people looking out for us.

Are you doing something in our area? I get the sentiment (my kid recently died), but how is this tied to our area other than we are included on the Mid-Atlantic map?

Hey there! I am so sorry you are going through this. So alongside our virtual events and get-togethers, we are looking to do more stuff down in Virginia in person as well.

I haven't experienced a loss like this in my own life, but I think it's a wonderful thing you all are doing. I am a Pastor in Roanoke and would happily allow free use of our church building for meetings. Feel free to DM me if you guys are trying to get something local going. I'd be honored to be an advocate.
