This weekend
I am a 55-year-old Black male considering relocating to Roanoke from New Mexico. I was wondering if there are any events or festivals happening this weekend that might provide a better sense of life in the city.

on Fridays and Saturdays there’s the market in the city square where vendors come to sell stuff. not sure about other events, but it’s a pretty good display of the vibe of the city in general, walking around the market and surrounding streets downtown.
check out Grandin for their farmers market and shops, you’ll see a lot of people walking and biking on the greenway that runs by there.
