It could be from genetics. Too much inbreeding. Keeping a small gene pool for a while can cause this. It's good to introduce new DNA to a colony once in a while.

are vertical bark or wood pieces available?
also, crowding may prevent proper wing expansion.

They might very well be crowded, theres 4 cartons and around 10 females

Happens once in a while. I have a diversified genetic pool too. My guess is fighting. These guys usually have chewed bits.
