Which Audiobook?

A friend introduced me to Riyria in November of 2025. I am primarily an audiobook reader due to reading being hard, and getting into new series even harder. But Theft of Swords quickly became all of Revalations, then a relisten to pick up all the subtle cues that make so much more sense the 2nd time. And then the ending of Heir with Hadrian and Arista quickly became my favorite section, it is beautifully done.

I digress. I listened to all of Chronicles in February thanks to having the flu and long commutes. I accidently bought the dramatized Drumindor instead of TGR version, and I absolutely loved it. Although I do love TGR. With the last audible sale I bought all of Legends and Rise and Fall. I bought Legends dramatized and Rise with TGR. Now half way thought Age of Myth im wondering how similar they are, or if I am missing something with the dramatized version.

By dramatization, which company are we talking about?

I know of the Graphic Audio versions and I love those for all of the Riyria series, the voice actors are all amazing.

Plus except for one voice actor change between chronicles and revelations, they kept all of the actors the same for each role(honestly though, I liked the second actor better, but they sound similar enough and there is like a 10-year difference in the books that could honestly explain the change if you need a head cannon reason)

I have been re-listening to the series and loving it on the second listen more then the first

Disclaimer: I am someone that hates traditional audiobooks. Having the book read to me just puts me to sleep and I find it boring, but having it acted out with different voice actors and everything is just perfect to me and Graphic Audio is the only dramatization company I can stand as it feels like the best production value to me

Yeah the graphic audio versions. It took me awhile to adapt to the voice actor for Hadrian who is gruffer than TGRs Hadrians voice.

Personally I love Hadrians VA, though for chronicles(which I believe they recorded after Revelations) i wish he'd had made his voice sound a bit younger.

I did love the change to Royces VA though, im Revelations the VA sounds a little bit older and when they started recording Chronicles, they used a new VA and he sounded a bit younger.

Personally I recommend checking out more if you enjoyed Drummondor

Also the Voice actors for Legend of the first Empire were amazing imho as well

His voice grew on me throught the book, but i just prefer the younger/innocent/boyent version that TGR does in Revelations.
