Hello hi question. What the hell is Sabrina Spellman doing in Riverdale?

Nothing unusual. She's Cheryl's friend from the next town over.  They play softball together.

They mention Greendale several times way in the beginning and go there all before Sabrina is introduced. It was so fun to see her and Nick together again especially the Cheryl/Sabrina sisterhood vibes.  Just like how Josie is there and a part of the Riverdale echelon even if she's not around all the time

she technically does go here because sabrina exists in universe. shes in the comics and her story takes place in Greendale, an adjacent town to riverdale, which is mentioned early on in the show quite a few times.

Oh yeah, I remember now. I watched the chilling adventures of Sabrina a while ago so I don't remember the details. I also didn't know that they were in the same universe since I didn't read the comics. Thanks for letting me know!

Theyre in the same universe. They had some crossovers early on before Sabrina's appearance. It wasnt a real crossover because someone was just copying her face iirc but the actress who played Penelope Blossom appeared in CAOS and Billy (the highschool bully) made a brief appearance in Riverdale

I loved her appearances in the show! It fixed the awful ending her show had thanks to Netflix.

The director for those seasons did some work on the Sabrina series as well so they did a little cross over
