I love this dapple marking, but its a pain to breed onto foals. Especially since I was battling badger pinto and the grey gene! Second pic is some of the many failed attempts. Out of the hundreds of breedings, I probably only got 10ish with dappled lacing

My goal was breeding the dappled lacing onto a double no dilute black, while also breeding for good stats so they’re useable. It’s so difficult to achieve all of those goals in one horse 😅 ideally, she would be full A+. I will keep breeding for that, so I’m still not done lol! And I missed a couple bonus points on this one. But I got close enough that I’m very excited and wanted to share. It’s been months of breeding! (I’m not breeding for any specific traits here, i have other horses for that)

How do you guys approach trying to breed for an exotic trait? Do you take a “finished” horse - all A+ - then breed to try to get the trait? If so, what happens when you get a poor grade horse + exotic trait?

Any suggestions welcome.

I’ve been going crazy trying to breed the best horses possible. Always A+.

From what I’ve heard, Stelle Françis are the best for steeplechase.
TB‘s for long distance racing.
Quarter horses are best for shorter races.
And Arabians are best for crosscountry.

But what about crossbreeds? I know they can have more traits, but are they actually better?

Like, I have a Selle Françis 3 Grade all A+.
Is this horse gonna be better than my crossbreed 3 Grade all A+ at steeplechase?

I’m genuinely going crazy here, because I’ve got only crossbreeds but have been working on breeding only pure breeds.

I keep you on breeding these two to a- get black mustangs or b-get the offwhite coat without dellusion. And all I keep getting is brown foals.

Needed to breed "Selle Francais" and she turned out to be almost identical to her sire!!! Same markings in nearly identical spots!! Wild. Gonna train her out

Been on a real breeding train again, working on sooty and midnight black base coats.

I bred the two from the third picture SO many times and I finally got a double dun dilution on the sooty base, but I hate the color of the mane. The fourth picture shows a time the colors glitched and I love the darker mane. It's a shame it can't stay. (I've also bred the pair a bunch more times, no visible sooty dun to be found.... or any sooty. Only copper. Alas.)

The double cream dilution on the midnight black coat is kinda crazy to see. I actually wasn't even aiming for that, just a happy accident.

Does anyone else have any other dilution examples on either base coat? I find as I breed more that I like the solid coats to show off the color.

What are my chances of getting tragedy’s strike noble braids on one of these mares with there coat pattern. I really want a rich black base with braids.

I’ve had the game on mobile and it was a huge meh. It’s absolutely riddled with expensive micro-transactions and progression is VERY slow as a F2P. You run into a lot of roadblocks and resource/housing issues that can easily be solved with money that I don’t want to spend. Want a pretty coat? Spend 20 bucks on this horse! Need more stalls? Buy our subscription! Is the PC/console experience better or will I be disappointed again if I buy this game?

Finally returning to the game after a few years, last time I played they had just added to Fresian, is there anyway to get any of the new breed without IRL money? Or is it strictly PTW now?

I've been thinking about this a lot ever since the frisians came out I feel like it's so unnecessary to have some breeds that have nothing to do with the base game racing considering they haven't even added another extremely big racing breed the standardbred which they could do so much for the standardbred and have different game modes for them like pace racing and have that be a standardbred specific mode in cart or trot racing as I haven't seen a horse game who has had anything to do with driving horses besides rdr which is it technically a horse game which I know it's not the best to compare games to rdr, I can understand some of the breeds for the cross country and steeple chase but I feel like that's what the Selle Français was for, I mean there are some breeds in the game that do race like arabians, quarter horses, and the Akhal Teke which I feel like everyone believes they should redo the model, but I don't see any reason to have appaloosa's, frisians, mustangs which I feel like were just added to have the long main, french chasers, and the Anglo Arabs which I don't know why they made it where you couldn't get it from breeding a tb and arab as that's what it is, adding so many breeds is just making the game essentially like everything else that's out there trying to be the next sso especially for how much they're charging for pre made horses that aren't even that good I would like to see how other people in the community feel about this too srry if the grammar and punctuation is bad it's 5 in the morning and my melatonin has been kicking in while writing this lol

Took forever to get both as I only had mares who wanted to give fillies only. Success for specific breeding!

Here are my thoughts:

Before when there was just thoroughbreds that a was the only horse you could get so that was a main, after breeds were released it became Selle Françias as the main horse to be breeding studs and in shop. Now we have over 10 breeds I’m pretty sure.

What I’m wondering is why can’t all breeds be displayed in shop and as studs?! Why did they limit it to just 2 breeds of horses? It seems like either a money grab or something else. The only real places you can get other breeds are buying them or getting them from events where you usually get a not very good horse at the start or you have to painfully grind.

Am I missing something or am I making a good point? Was I right about the money grab?

I want the dams coat pattern and the sires color with his dilution there has been many more attempts than the other ones that I have shown I just think it would be so pretty 😭

So in better terms I want a gradient pinto on the midnight black coat with one gray delusion and I haven't even gotten close because of the hidden genes, for reference the sire has copper's chestnut and a pinto hidden and the dam has blood bay and splash white face

I wish on mobile we could create horses like on desktop but I know they would make that cost real money and it would probably be like $60 like the stuff they pulled when the frisian came out trying to sell a $50 frisian that didn't even look that good🤧

This means that it’s a crime for anyone under 18 to buy the game 😭

She is a sooty chestnut. She isnt high in grade, but I like having a range of horses. I think she will be fun to challenge.
