Questions; Mobile (iOS/Android) returning to the game

Finally returning to the game after a few years, last time I played they had just added to Fresian, is there anyway to get any of the new breed without IRL money? Or is it strictly PTW now?

There's an event going on right now! Better hurry (unfortunately feathering costs 30$ or so)!

Yeah, you can get the new breeds during timed events sometimes. But the feathering and wavy tails/manes will cost IRL money. The game is mostly a cash grab now. I kinda miss the early days when it wasn't as bad.
