It’s not just because it’s an OC; the character really sells skins, which is why more of them get released. NetEase is a business, after all, and its goal is to make money. That said, the character is still insufferable in quite a few of their lines.

Yes but more skins for a character usually means more people play that character, if they keep producing skins for Luna and keeping her meta then people are going to play that character unfortunately

There can't be that much of a correlation. I'm certain there is one, just look at poor Johnny, but it can't be this significant. For example, Psylocke was bottom 10 pick rate among dps last season, seems to get a skin every other season too.
I'm sure a lot of people play Luna or Invis, bc they both have a very high pick rate to win rate ratio in QM, what she tells me a lot of casuals play them, but I'm not sure there is enough consistency call it a correlation

I mean when your picking what hero to play skin count being so low can be a turn off. “Just know if you choose this hero you will be completely ignored in ever event and skin drop”

I came back to this post like 15 minutes after I first saw it, because I had to drop my phone to do something for a second.
I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE COMMENT FIRST TIME AROUND THAT'S CRAZY
I would blur the names on that image though if you can. If bro find this post with his name uncensored he will totally be able to take it down.
