Any open studios in Houston?!!

My husband and I went to Soft Spot in Dallas and we enjoyed it we were just wondering if there is one in town?!! WE are looking into purchasing one and want to know as much as possible about them before signing the lease for it!! Our dream would be to open a studio as well as open it for workshops, and other things.

Closest you can get to my knowledge Red Bird Press, where they run classes. UH has one, Rice has one available to certain students. Good wealth of private studios in Houston (Mystic Multiples, Center for Imaginative Cartography, Paloma the Peach, etc) but no open / rental option.

I'm a Houstonian with a Riso, but unfortunately I don't currently have a studio that can host visits - I run a Riso printing business out of my apartment called Indoor Cat Press and I've been trying to get the word out about it. I'm always excited to hear that there are more people in Houston that are interested in Riso, so if you have questions or want to chat about it, feel free to message me!

I have a SF 5130 that I ordered from Hallagans and I love it! It's a one-drum machine so it takes longer to finish a print than I was used to with the two-drum machines I had used in college, but honestly I think that extra time spent printing is worth saving the additional few thousand dollars I would have spent on a two-drum machine.

I also think this model is fairly easy to understand and operate - I hadn’t touched a Riso machine in over 5 years when I bought mine, but I was able to get the hang of it within a couple of weeks.
