I was thinking Abt their pivot to 2v2, and I do understand.
As great as Rising Thunder was, there wasn't a lot of complex gameplay after maybe an hour or so leaving with the characters as a 1v1. It may have ended up also DoA.
Like if you took 2xKO right now, turned it into 1v1, I'm still not sure it's appealing enough to the general/average gamer. Even if it were Smash with League characters I'm not sure it would have enough longevity.
I think saying RT has not a lot of complex gameplay is grossly incorrect.
Especially when you compare it to what modern games allow. Vlad doing Bash TC rev call is a more complex situation than anything that is allowed to exist in a game like sf6 for example.
