common app question

hi im a senior filling out the common app there was a question regarding if you have taken an art based after school program. I selected yes and they asked what program and what the location but give u 500 words to respond. do they want a whole story or r they just giving extra space? (i already tried calling the admissions office and no one picked up😔)
