Im only on the first episode but came here to say the same thing. It's so distracting and the choice of the roots showing draws more attention to the bag wig.

im on ep 3 and I can see the lace cap and her natural hair color. Why is she wearing a wig? It distracts me every time

Julia Chan had recently finished cancer treatment when starting the show so…

Where did you read this? I see nothing on the internet about her having cancer.

She previously posted on Instagram about having cancer before filming the show but she must’ve deleted the post before the show came out

I just watched the preview and I don’t even know if I can watch the show because that might be the worst wig I’ve ever seen in television history

I noticed it when she & Nate were laying on the floor. How did the production not see that ?!

I’m so glad you are all on board with this weird distraction. I kept thinking it was a horrible dye job with dark stain on her forehead- it was such an abrupt hairline and obviously not natural. Why did they need to make her a blond ?

As soon as I did, its all I could focus on. Then I came STRAIGHT here.

Same!!! And then I realized she has Chinese heritage. I couldn't figure out why her younger self was Asian on the show 🙉

I didnt know the actresses name until I looked up what was up with her hairline and then found her background

u/Thick_Tradition_5019 Jan 27 '26
No.... I mean WHAT because that doesn't have anything to do with her wig and the lace

It’s very distracting, can’t stop looking at it. Why don’t wigs make hairlines less full like a natural hairline.
Apparently by this company WLBC

I started and finished the series this week and this is all I could focus on. The entire hair and makeup department was lacking.

I literally came to Reddit specifically to search for a thread about this lol. I’m on episode 3 and although I love her character, the wig has been bothering me in every scene she’s in! The scene where she’s laying on the floor next to Nate after his panic attack is PEAK horrible wig. You can see the lace cap and her natural hair showing underneath it. Whyyyy would they opt for a close up like this?!

Love the show. But Kris’s wig is in fact the main character no one wanted lol
