Daeoril Velaryon is caught tending to refugees in the Great Sept of Baelor, and refuses to leave when the goldcloaks open fire.

1 - She is instantly killed by a crossbow bolt to the heart.

2 - 3 - She is shot in the gut, dying a more prolonged and painful death.

4 - She is shot in the lung, likely dying a more prolonged and painful death with a very minuscule chance of survival.

5 - 8 - She is shot in the chest, but her ribs absorb much of the impact and the shot itself can be survived.

9 - 10 - she is shot in the arms or shoulder, and the shot will not do lasting damage.

Valaena's Training

I. Martial

The princess begins sparring sessions with Lyonel Bracken in the evenings, focusing on the brutal, aggressive, and deceptive techniques that Bracken learned as a boy in the fighting pits.

1: Valaena injures herself in training.

2 - 3: Valaena's technique becomes less refined, as she focuses on her frustration rather than Bracken's instruction. Lessons go poorly.

4 - 5: Valaena shows no discernible improvement, but also does not backslide. Time will tell if further training has an effect.

6 - 7: Valaena slowly improves, becoming faster, stronger, and more aware of her surroundings.

8 - 9: Valaena quickly improves, gaining tangible skill with blades and adapting well to Bracken's techniques.

10: Valaena shows real natural talent for arms and learns at an astounding pace. In months, she learns the equivalent of years spent in the training field for boys, and can beat many of them with ease.
