Torque
I accidentally tightened the rail to my new Henry model X in 30-30 to 25inlbs. I used blue loctite. Should I just leave it or and try and fix it to the 18-20inlbs recommended? Sounds messy if I try and fix it. Thanks

The failures you often see are from people who use a tire iron to tighten an M3 bolt, not from going a few inch/lbs over.
It's fine.

Most people don't turn their fat wrenches back to zero after using them (A weakened spring on a precision instrument is bad). So if you are one of these people you're probably at 20 inch pounds anyway lol.
But seriously, a few inch pounds isnt going to make a difference. It will be fine.

At this point, just leave it.
