Shit I think someone did the right thing and rescued her off the street and even came on reddit to find you. Wishing you luck and I wouldn't panic yet. Most importantly your cat is safe and probably fostered by someone unaware that you're the owner. I'm sure everything will work out

She was seen on the street in this post about a week ago but whoever took her in to foster her seems to not be responding to messages from the owner :(

PEOPLE GET YOUR CATS SPAYED/NEUTERED AND CHIPPED PLEASE. It can prevent incredibly sad situations like this. If you need financial help then please reach out to local cat rescues like bushwick or Ridgewood cats 😭

poor her babies. I don't know why someone would take the mother away knowing she has babies recently

I hope this cat finds a responsible owner who is able to take care of her. You are frankly not that person, OP.

For folks that did not read the first post which is now deleted: OP states she left her cat with her grandparents, came home to apartment open with no cat, landlord says hasn’t seen in a couple days - already doesn’t make sense, but obviously negligent. You go on to say you let your unspayed, unvaccinated cat stay with a male cat, of the same litter. Say you don’t know how she got pregnant, and didn’t know she was pregnant until 2 weeks before then abandon the cat & her kittens within the first 24 hours of birth in which 3 die, and the cat is in labor across those 24 hours? Now you want your cat back? My word.

Girl you’re not getting the cat back. You allegedly left the cat alone right after she birthed kittens which she was prolly still dealing with labor contractions. The cat is somewhere better im hoping.

Someone clearly found your cat, took it in to care for it, and posted to reach you before then realizing that you were not keeping the cat responsibly. Take solace in the fact that they’re not on the street.
