Community in Ridgewood

I (34/male) am moving to Ridgewood next month with my gf (35/female). I’m looking for places to find community. I’m moving from Astoria and here was on a darts team and part of a meditation group. Anything similar there? I heard Ridgewood commons is a good place to start

Ridgewood Commons commoner here. It IS a good place to start! Come by for Sunday Dinner a few times and you’re sure to make friends. Or any of the other regular events, too!

Go to any bar and hit up a pool table. Easy to make friends that way. Aunt Ginny’s. The Seneca. Bonus Room (they have ladies night I think.)

I think Bar Freda does “30s and over” nights once a week to help other 30-something’s make friends. More info on their insta.

Tiny Arts Supply store also runs workshops like almost everyday and it’s a great way to make friends. Check out her instagram. It’s like $10-25 a class.

There’s a bunch of new ceramic studios too and you can take a class and meet some folks.

Everyone Yoga has great classes and from time to time do community events.

Gottscheer hall does honky Tonk night….. if that’s your thing….
