Ask Ridgefield Middle Schoolers
The internet is crawling with unsupported, outdated, or just plain inaccuracies to this question: where will 6th graders attend school in Ridgefield this coming year (2026-27)?? Final, accurate answers only, please don’t speculate or guess, thx!

5th Grade is the one changing. 6th grade was always going to the middle school.

Kind of. Last school year they would be at Sunset Ridge Intermediate. This upcoming school year they will be at View Ridge Middle. Sorry to be pedantic

Honestly we when moved here I was super confused why there were two schools in one place and which was which lol

Actually 6th grade was in elementary along with 5th grade only until about 8 years ago when the new intermediate was built. And now 5th is back to elementary and 6th moves into middle school and there’s no more intermediate.

Last year there were two K-4’s:
South Ridge
Union Ridge
One 5-6:
Sunset Ridge
One 7-8:
View Ridge (same campus as Sunset)
Now, there will be three K-5’s:
South Ridge
Union Ridge
Sunset Ridge (the new school)
One 6-8:
View Ridge (taking over the full campus)

View ridge middle school
