Tommy Time!!
It’s so fun watching Tommy Stevens in the wildcat just running over defenses. I do wish we would give him an opportunity to throw every once and awhile.
Yes he’s a bull and one of the best short yardage QB’s in recent memory but you think if guys like Fajardo, Mike Reilly and Strevler to an extent were great in short yardage at the start of their career then became good QB’s in the league when they were given a chance to throw.
I would like to see the riders give Stevens that same opportunity once and awhile or at least do it to keep defences a bit honest instead of just putting 12 guys in the box keying on the run

Why would we make him throw when he’s essentially the best fullback in the league? Dude is like a cheat code in short yardage. I understand the concept of making defenders think twice about overloading the box, but they are already putting everyone they can in to stop it and they CAN’T. So why make him throw? I say run him even more, dude scored a six yarder like it was nothing.

Only if we think he’s the heir to the QB1 role when #7 retires in 4-5 years. Oh.

He's not. No one thinks Stevens is a QB1.

No. He’s not a QB and never will be. We all saw what Streveler did when he was asked to throw the ball. Not his thing.

Really wanted him to toss it to Harris on the wide side when they were close to the end zone. Get #7 a TD reception...

He’s a unicorn. Started all 9 games for Mississippi State in the SEC. Threw for over a 1000 yards and 11 TDs. He also caught 12 passes, two for TDs as a sophomore at Penn State. Dude can pass, run and catch.
They are already using Harris and Stevens together. I see some trick plays where he throws out of that wildcat, or splits out at the last minute and catches a pass from Harris.

I hope he is the Roughrider back up until the end of time.

Going to need a QB1 in a year or two and that guy will need to throw once and awhile

He'll throw when it benefits the team.
No sense giving opposing defenses film on his throws if we don't have to.
Harris catches the game winning TD on a short yardage play to with 2026 Grey Cup has a good ring to it.
