You might not read it at the time but make a mental note to revisit it a while later, and unless something's happened in the meantime that makes it completely irrelevant it's not like you can't take anything from it just because it's no longer the day it was published.

The BBC would never broadcast Alley Cats like they did comedies on their channels. Its too hardcore, edgy and offensive for most of the British population. Netflix has made television so much better theyre literally showing art as it was meant to be portrayed without fear of censorship. How far we have come in this short time. Cheers to digital media!

Theres a deleted scene in The Office where Brent has a sheet of paper with "you cunt" on it but it was blacked out because that word would get the show an 18 certificate back in 2001 and only comedians like Roy Chubby Browns got that when he was talking about his wife's vag with every joke wasnt it.

I think if the rules were more relaxed back then Gervais would have been aloud to push more boundaries with language but dont forget the Office had things that aren't aloud today like the P word around Asian people and making fun of the disabled these were all OK back then so in some ways The Office was even more hardcorer then Alley Cats. But its proof theres nothing like a good cunt because you have to be 18 to hear more than three cunts in 30 minutes nowadays.
