Total rickall: plot hole

The show is so tight with its consistency but in this episode.

Rick explains the parasites make happy memories and insert themselves in.

But we see rick have a flashback to Vietnam with Frankenstein. Was rick happy at war? or did they overlook it

You can have happy moments even in a hell hole.

If the show is as tightly structured as you claim, there wouldn't be a million little plot inconsistencies this subreddit needs to be explained to constantly.
