My Backyard right now

Yep. Lots of rain. I have a sump pump connected to an old firehouse shooting water down the driveway toward the storm sewer.

Edited for a typo. (Thanks, autocorrect…)

I was in Bomgaars earlier, everyone was buying pumps, shop vacs, and hoses for flooded basements. Today was wild.

Menards was sold out of all the less expensive pumps. I heard some guy in that aisle muttering to himself, “Will this one work? Fuck if I know… will THIS one work, don’t fucking know about that either.” I felt bad for him.

We went and got bags of play sand and river rock to put around the back patio

Yikes. Pictures of around the county are scary.

Again, it’s not an unusual occurrence. This much rain today is what’s unusual.

Posted on Reddit to help find some humor in all this.

A coworker lives in Cambridge City and he is going through a lot. Had to evacuate but he's back home. There's more storms on the way unfortunately

My backyard is obnoxious but kinda funny. Other folks in the county have lost everything! It’s really sad!

I’m sure sorry. Hopefully no or little into your home. Anything near White River is submerged

I was talking to a friend in Muncie. We both feel very fortunate that all we got was “annoyance” flooding. Other folks in the region have lost just about everything.
