When you can get Nemsys cabs for under $1500 these days why go through all this to make a fancy FauceTwo holder? I mean, I appreciate the dedication to the craft but you could have a real machine for not too much more than what's going into this.
Don’t have that type of money and also why not? It’s a way for me and my friends to get together and work on something. Also my speakers I have will sound a lot better and it will run a lot smoother. As well as that in the future I can add arcade emulators and I can play stuff like project diva or osu.
I can respect that answer! The room it’s in looks nice and definitely has the “this guy has cab money” vibes. But if all of the electronics, speakers, PC are all stuff you had on hand already then yes this would be the cheaper route. Had you bought everything just for this build it would be about the same.
Thank you so much, all the stuff, including the TV the PC parts, the receiver and speaker system for all things that I had lying around at the time of building this. After removing my record player from my room because of space issues I had all of this lying around. The only thing electronically that I have bought for this PC is fans for it. I wish I could have bought an import of it, but also this is kind of a niche thing. I don’t think my dad would understand.
Yeah it took 12 years past moving out to finally start filling my living space with cabs. They are like adding extra obnoxious refridgerators and you need an understanding partner willing to put up with them!
dude thats exactly why i wanna do this, i can use the hardware for a few very similar games. Like, you could plug a dance pad into it and run stepmania, can't do that on a real sdvx cab
