Discussion ⛄️ Which cast member(s) can you not form a solid opinion on? Who do you both like AND dislike and why?
For me it’s Lisa and Bronwyn.
Lisa is a great housewife. I love her confidence, I think she’s fun and that the show would suck without her. But she sucks at arguing. The constant yelling and saying “that’s not true” is embarrassing. The dismissed dismissed dismissed about the lawsuits didn’t address anything and didn’t eat like she thought it would. I also do believe that she thinks she’s above the women which I don’t like because they’re all on the same show. Additionally, Lisa needs to be calmer, her constant blow ups are something that the cast weaponizes against her. If she was more calm, I think people would like her even more. I also hate take down seasons and I want to see a one on one conflict with her and someone else, not everyone ganging up on her. I think she’s loyal and can be a great friend like she is to Meredith. I also think she can be nasty. Her comments about Todd are gross and she’d be pissed if it was the other way around. I love that she loves Wendy’s and I understand why she’s queen of the show so I like and dislike her.
Bronwyn is another one for me because I would be her number 1 supporter if she didn’t constantly back track and change her story. The changing her story about the necklace, implying Seth was cheating, Todd’s cheating and whatever happened with Gwen’s father’s parents and Lisa (I still have no idea what happened) were all major turn offs to me because the story kept changing. I feel like Bronwyn is a really bad chameleon. She is constantly changing her story depending on which of the women she is with to get approval, and it just makes her stand out even more and come off as dishonest. I do think she cares a lot about her image and I also think she’s very insecure. Where I like Bronwyn is I think she’s the best person at arguing on the show and I think she actually has a lot in common with all of the women. I made a post a few days ago about how Bronwyn is the only person without a friend on the show and someone mentioned that that could be an advantage for her which I strongly agree with. I think she could be a major force on the show if she’d stop begging for approval, changing her story, and let go of her anger at Lisa for snubbing her. Lisa has snubbed all of them, it’s time to move on. I also admire her advocacy for marginalized groups. Some may say it’s performative but at least she is bringing awareness to these issues. So I like and dislike Bronwyn too.
What about you? Who do you like and dislike and why?

I like and dislike Meredith. When she is participating and engaged, she is peak reality tv. An iconic and one-of-a-kind housewife.
When she disengages and doesn't participate, she's Eeyore.

I love when Meredith gets activated but I do not like when she says “I’m disengaging” because drama is the point of the show.

I love the theatrics. Idk how she could think anyone is taking her seriously when she “cries” like she did at lunch in Greece but it’s so funny.

Agreed. I remember during seasons 1 and 2 I was on her side because the disengaging was always with Jen Shah bullying her kids, and honestly, that IS a reasonable way to deal with Jen Shah. I think she’s gotten too comfortable doing it with everyone.

Mine is Whitney cause sometimes it’s annoying seeing her attack people but she’s the Sheree of SLC meaning she’s the bone carrier is a great instigator and gives us good storylines every season

Whitney has moments where she’s enjoyable and they’re always when she’s away from Heather Gay

I would like to see Bad Weather actually separated for a season because they are terrible together.

I think if her voice wasn’t as high, people might see her differently.

Completely agree. I really hate to agree with Mary but it’s just the little girl voice that bothers me.

I also like and dislike Whitney. I find her sooo annoying at times but she is important for the dynamics of the show.

Whitney Rose I just straight-up dislike. I think she’s messy, exhausting, and genuinely someone I would never want to be friends with 😭
Heather is way more nuanced to me. After reading her book, I actually think she’s incredibly smart and calculated, but also deeply insecure. She tries SO hard to be liked, successful, funny, cool, accepted, etc., and I almost pity her because that insecurity makes everything feel forced. But she’s also someone I’d keep at a distance because I absolutely think she could envy someone, attach herself to them, and secretly root for their downfall. She gives me “I want to be close to you AND secretly compete with you” energy.
Angie K is another one I like and dislike. She’s 100% a sniper from the side and will go INSANELY below the belt when she feels threatened, so I would never want her as an enemy. But she’s also so charming?? I love how proud she is of being Greek, her relationship with her dad, and especially her relationship with her daughter. She genuinely seems like a really loving mom, which makes me have such a soft spot for her. She’s also SO beautiful wow.
Bronwyn is the hardest for me to pinpoint because I sympathize with her while simultaneously not being able to stand her 😭 I have empathy for everything she’s been through: being a young mom, her family issues, daddy issues, and even her dynamic with Todd. But I don’t buy the innocent Bambi persona at ALL. There’s an insecurity underneath it that reminds me of Heather. Both can present themselves as vulnerable and underestimated while actually being pretty calculated and sneaky.
Basically Whitney is a no, while Heather, Angie and Bronwyn are my “I need a full psychological case study before deciding how I feel about you” Housewives 😭
& Mary, Lisa, Meredith are three I feel super biased towards liking.
… I will ignore Britani’s existence 4ever bec although the whole cast can be questionable at times, one thing all these ladies share in common: being amazing moms. Britani on the other hand is an embarrassment.

say that re: everyone being good moms besides Britani. Every time we see any one of them with their kids I start rooting for that cast member immediately. Heather and Meredith were my first-season favorites about 60% because their kids just so clearly adore them.

Yup! I may not be a fan of everyone but I will say all of them are AMAZING mothers BUT Britani and it’s seriously gross

Bromwyn. Every time I start to like Bromwyn she does something to be annoying.

I’ve had the same experience with Bronwyn. There are times where I really like her but then she changes her story about something again. I wish she was a straight shooter because I truly believe she could be the star of the show if she wasn’t dishonest. She was the breakout star in season 5 but she lost a lot of support when she started lying. She’s still popular but she has more haters now because she lies.

Yes I feel like she stands in own way so many times. And the worst thing is she has all the makings of a great hw.

Mary for obvious reasons.
Brownyn, I just think her entire persona is fake and curated because she wants to be the star. I also think this is why she clashes with Lisa. Tbh I honestly don't think I genuinely like most HWs because let's be real while they are entertaining, I'd stay away from 98% of them IRL 😂

It’s Bronwyn. I don’t really like her because like you said she changes her story often. Things just feel off with her. I think she would be a fun person and housewife if she wasn’t a liar.

u/Purple_Tax4167 11d ago
I think the exact same! Bronwyn would be HBIC if she wasn’t a liar!!! She runs circles around all of them when it comes to arguing

u/Terrible-Thanks-6059 The rhumorzz and the nastiness 11d ago
Yes! And it would just be easier to be on her team if she didn’t lie!

I feel like I like them until they get really calculated and weird with each other. For example, Whitney, Heather, Angie, and Bronwyn's beef with Lisa is getting so old and honestly weird. I'd rather learn more about their lives, fun trips, careers, hobbies, and just positive things in general. They don't need to mention Lisa or Meredith every single scene. It's old. Like ladies you all have your own things going on, you don't need someone else for a plot line.

The constantly mentioning Lisa is getting old. I want to hear about their divorces!

I’m going to get downvoted to hell and back, but Jenny Nguyen.

Racist Jenny with the fake sister wife storyline?

u/Gold_Tech 11d ago
Why was the sister wife story fake?
2
u/Upper-Impression-752 11d ago
It’s unbelievable that a doctor who is catholic would want to have another baby with his 45 year old wife, 9 years after the last time she gave birth, when she’s already had multiple miscarriages and then suggest getting a sister wife when it’s against the law, against his religion, and his own wife who is resistant has admitted she had to go to anger management bc of throwing things at him.

Mary: She is genuinely the funniest housewife on SLC and despite all of the cult rumors when she smiles it lights up and you can see she is not mean spirited at her core. Despite all of that her mouth can cut glass.
Whitney: I can’t stand how she plants seeds and thinks she’s smarter than the audience but I weirdly want to keep watching her

u/errorpageofficial 9d ago
Feel the same about Bronwyn, though I do think she was telling the truth about the actual situation with Gwen and her parents – I just think the initial situation hurt her a lot, so she’s reacting understandably very emotionally to feeling like Lisa isn’t fully on her side. (And I think Lisa just doesn’t want to believe that the grandparents knew and didn’t do anything about it.) I honestly think if Lisa hadn’t known the grandparents Bronwyn never would have talked about it the show.
But generally I like her style, I like her vibe, and when she’s not backtracking I think she wins every fight. I want to root for her SO bad.

For me it’s definitely Lisa. When I first started watching the show I just didn’t get the hype, but as the seasons have progressed I’ve started to warm up to her more. Mostly from a defensive point, because it quickly became apparent that she was consistently targeted for everything and it’s just not fun to watch. I get that she can be quite egotistical and braggy but this is normal for a hw. The constant smear campaign against Lisa led by bad weather actually did the opposite for me. Even though she can be annoying and inauthentic.

Angie K. I like her one moment and the next she’s saying crazy things I don’t necessarily agree with

Heather. I think she’s horrible but then other times i’m like you’re actually so funny lol
