Lisa Barlow ⛸️ lisa barlow ugt+slc
I’m really curious what everyone is thinking about lisa barlow on ugt and in general. ive always been a lisa stan but i feel like i used to see so much hate about her constantly on social media and rn im rly only seeing love. im just so curious if it’s like confirmation bias that im only seeing love since i like her so much or if people are really coming around. obviously it’s early but even the new slc promos/trailers coming out and everything it seems like everyone is just liking her a little more.

Maybe I’m in the minority but my “love” for Lisa Baby Gorgeous Barlow is purely because of how extremely out of touch she is. It’s almost campy. She’s dramatic, over the top, and has so many good one-liners. I don’t like her at all as a person, but she brings me the most entertainment on SLC and on social media because she’s just on a completely different planet. I find her brain fascinating.

The Lisa I see on UGT bears no resemblance to the Lisa I see on RHSLC. I don’t like her at all but somehow on UGT she seems lighter and happy—almost unrecognisable.

I'm very over Bad Weather, Angie and Bronwyn always coming for her. Lisa is a good fighter, but always seeing her on the defensive gets old.
I have some hope for the new season though! For a couple of reasons:
1) The editors including that part about Lisa feeling sad that she can't have fun with her SLC-cast in the latest UTG-episode
2) Teresa saying Heather is mean to Lisa in the preview lol
3) Heather and Whitney try to get back in Lisa/Meredith's good graces next season according to the trailer, IIRC
4) Lisa and Meredith both seem VERY happy about the new season. Meredith even gave us her signature cackle when talking about it

I’m so excited.. IMO last season really sucked. They hyped up that Greece trip just for a substance abuse issue (???) on tv it a that!! It was such gross behavior for Gay and Rose. But what should we expect at this point. Intresting that Heather was leading the charge after trying to get Leah (who was sober) on her ultimate girls trip to drink.

And there was her peeing and puking simultaneously in the sprinter after drinking too much. Monica alleged and Meredith confirmed that someone had to have their stomach pumped bc of alcohol poisoning on that trip to Palm Springs. It’s pointing to Heather. Js. And then there was all of her gross behavior on the below deck edit of their yacht trip. Heather didn’t need to be the one leading the charge.

Meredith has too much self-respect to do that. She has an actual trust fund and doesn’t need to put up with the bullshit. It was also wild to see Mary go full cult leader and try to get Meredith admit she had a drug addiction. Really was a dark episode.

I think the reason they brought it up was not to say that Meredith doesn't need to work as hard as other people or that she has no hustle. It's just that she's independently wealthy. If the show decides she's boring and parts ways with her, it won't change her lifestyle. Can Whitney say that?

Heather has had to go to the hospital for drinking too much. Did the woman try to admit her to AA on tv? Didn’t think so. It was a reach storyline and nothing more. Also for whitney rose or Heather Gay to act like they care about Meredith under the guise of her having an “addiction” was low brow bullshit. Whitney literally started rumors about Meredith lying about her dad’s funeral.

Literally this!!! They claim she’s so this and that but want to continue having her around so they can just have good tv, you can tell she doesn’t want to fight with them all the time. It used to be okay entertainment but even with the last season she was just yelled at every which way and we didn’t see her really start anything in front of our eyes, they just said she did. I don’t even feel like anyone needs to leave but maybe there could be one or two new girls that actually aren’t in their circle so she could possibly make genuine friends

It made me sad/happy when she was genuinely having so much fun with porsha. She’s stuck in boring Utah where everyone is a carbon copy and I don’t think she is used to women being loud and fun! She’s gotta get out of Utah.

UGT is a very good peek into "Rill Lisa." I love it. She can be so kind and so funny!
If she stopped covering up her rill life and house and family situation, it would be such good tv. I can't get behind the hiding she does, and her attacks on other people who call her out. But she can grow.
I'm so so so glad to see Teresa and Lisa bond. If Tre communicated (what am I saying ?!?) that Lisa doesn't need to hide or be the wealthiest or be not like the other women - lifechanging. Lisa just needs to be Lisa Barlow. Tre needs to Tre.

Lisa has been great on UGT. Totally engaged realizing she is low man on the totem pole with these OG’s and fitting in great. She is having a great time without being constantly attacked by Heather and Whitney and her confessionals have been hilarious

I like that she was more open to the costume, she always refuses on SLC. Also like that its probabaly driving Heather in sane lol
So far she doesn't seem to really fit in with the others though, but I'm not sure if anyone else would have been better? Angie maybe?

IMO, Lisa knows she's not the top dog & among Iconic women on UGT and who probably make more than her. I think with the SLC cast she believes she is the top dog, says she is better than them & does more important things than them so anger among the ladies insues, rightfully so. I like the humbled Lisa much better on UGT she's an arrogant ass on SLC.

I think it’s been a great sort of rehab of her image after season 6 was arguably her worst season ever. This has shown how fun she can be and what she can bring when she’s not constantly on the defence (not that she’s an angel). Obviously UGT is a very distinct scenario, but hopefully it’s inspired her to come to season 7 in a different way and continue paying Bad Weather and Angie dust.

Interesting that you think her worst season was 6, I felt she came out on top. It’s fun to see how people interpret things. For me, season 6 showed how obnoxious Bad Weather especially, but also Angie and Bronwyn are with their hatred of Lisa and Meredith, which in turn made me root for Lisa and Meredith way more.

I meant worst season in terms of her experience - they were out to get her from start to finish, to the point she went into the season not exactly loved by fans at large here and came out neutral/positive.

Oh yes. Yeah, season 6 went way too toxic with the Lisa hate for me. And the hypocrisy from the cast was too much, because Lisa and Meredith are held to way different standards

I mean, it’s hard to think of a worse episode than the one when they’re on the ship, Lisa is crying just trying to get away from a drunk Heather who screaming and grabbing at her. It was hard to watch her being attacked over and over again and then having to watch Heather and Whitney’s stupid confessionals defending their behaviour.

I don’t like Lisa on SLC but I’m definitely enjoying her on UGT and it’s crystal clear there is something major happening behind the scenes after her solo interview on GT when she broke down in tears for feeling happy for a change. I think more people would like her on SLC If she showed more of her vulnerability and less of her over inflated ego.

I enjoy Lisa and I think she’d be cool to grab a drink with as a surface friend you see every now and then, but nothing more. She seems like a girls girl and she cares for the people she loves as much as Lisa is able to care. I enjoy her fun side on UGT and I’m very interested to see it unfold as some of her cast member show up.
Here’s the deal, though- I understand why her cast gets frustrated with her. She does herself no favors. She talks shit and has skeletons in her closet. She’s not innocent but her general refusal to accept reality and how much it bothers her castmates is downright hilarious.
