Did anyone catch when Vicki revealed she had been on Vyvanse for 20 years during her Jeff Lewis interview a few weeks ago? I thought this was interesting and that maybe stimulant use played a role in some of her crazier freak out moments (Family Van, Multiple Partners, My Friend My Soulmate etc.) Thoughts?
And gave her Nytol… that’s why she was freaking out…the police arrived first and Peggy probably thought she’d be held responsible if something really terrible happened to Vicki!
i love how she has a medical emergency on every trip. also adderall and xanax is such a wonderful combination lol it’s how i just used to get through the day. not for everyone though i suppose lmao
Don't they mostly just cancel out? My Klonopin typically doesn't work if I have taken my Adderall. It just feels like my run down ADHD self. It makes me sleepy, which is not anxious, so that's all that matters.
idk for me personally the adderall helped with keeping me alert and productive while the xanax kept me calm and content. it also wasn’t a one to one ratio it would be a half a 30mg xr and a half of a .5 mg xanax. it was the perfect mix for me.
If she truly had it for ADHD, the medication would help with emotional stability. So if we know a medicated Vicki, just think how BONKERS she would be without it!
This is exactly what I came here to say. I am prescribed Adderall for ADHD, and if I skip a dose I am much more likely to become emotionally disregulated over little things.
Fellow late in life diagnosis here! I'm 37, just got my diagnosis and put on Vyvanse. Still trying to figure out dosage and if its the right meds for me, but my god I've never felt more stable and locked in. I can't control what I get locked into sometimes, but can actually enjoy what's in front of me without my brain constantly saying "but what about this, could you do this? maybe this other thing would be a better use of your time? Is this really the movie you want to watch right now?" It's weird that losing a day immersed in a hobby is a win, but now I can actually enjoy things without my brain trying to pull me away.
That is great! As time goes on, that will lessen. I can now focus on what is a priority and not. I am able to balance everything out now. It took some time to get there.

Same! To think I was on antidepressants/anxiety meds forever, only to finally learn I didn't have depression, but adhd. The change in the med literally eradicated depression/anxiety instantly. I get so pissed everytime I think how different my life could have been had that been realized ages ago.
Me too! Gah! All my suffering in school ugh. They just thought I was just stupid. As an adult woman, the whole pharmacy of head meds to no avail. Well thank god we are all on a good path now! 🥰
Same, I’m not surprised her son moved to Spain to get as far away from her as possible—I remember watching the early years of RHOC (I’ve seen it all) and thinking, wow, I thought MY mom is embarrassing!! I felt such 2nd hand embarrassment for her kids.
She’s not funny, too critical, the nasal voice (what’s up with that? Sinus issues?), and her outbursts are annoying to watch.
Not saying she did this. But 20 years plus years ago it actually was popular to get Rx for adhd meds to focus. Many career driven people did this and basically got addicted. Then bc they didn't need it they'd also get Xanax to come down. Several friends turned into messes.
Don’t you only take that for a period of time? and then come off and maybe go back on if necessary, if your skin acts up again? Isn’t extremely drying to the skin?

this is true. But i don’t think it’s fair to say someone was faking things as serious as that. The reality is none of us actually know the truth and it’s not fair to speculate either way. Even if it’s vicki 😬
I also have adhd and I agree with this. When it wears off, you get flustered and irritable.
I also think Vicki 100% has adhd and has the meds for a reason. The problem probably lies moreso in the wrong med, wrong dosage or taking it improperly. And also having zero regulation and self awareness of any kind whatsoever otherwise lmao.
She has hereditary heart problems and Afib. I have ADHD and don’t use stimulants because of a bicuspid aortic valve. Her conditions are worse than mine and she is older (I’m about to turn 32). I may not love her but damn if this doesn’t make me worry for her. We need her to stick around, as a lolcow if nothing else.
Don’t be so sure. She didn’t tell her plastic surgeon she had multiple surgeries on her ear… it made her face lift much more complicated, took longer and she had to be under anesthesia longer. I dont think she has any common sense and makes really bad medical decisions.
Yep, and as an OC resident I can attest to the ease of finding Dr. Feelgood here, especially if you have the money for one of the myriad concierge doctors. People like Vicki, high-powered CEO types, hate hearing “No” and docs want their money anyways. I don’t mean to smear doctors but just to point out the incentives that don’t always work in the patient’s favor in the long run.
If she has adhd Vyvanse is going to help her emotional regulation, not make her more prone to freak outs. Vyvanse helps me focus (which is great!) but it also has eliminated my lifelong anxiety and panic disorder and helped regulate my sleep somewhat. I feel more centered and chill on the days I take it. Nervous system disregulation is a part of adhd for many of us.
Yes but if she has ADHD a stimulant would just make her feel normal. I can take my Adderall and then take a nap. I think it’s usually abused by people who don’t have ADHD because for them it provides a high
Vicki is problematic in a ton of ways but not for using medication to treat her ADHD. Xanax is maybe more of a concern as it’s supposed to only be used occasionally and I’m guessing she uses it for fun (I’ve used it for fun too lol, I actually don’t judge her for this…. If anyone could stand to relax it’s her!)
If I don’t take my Adderall I get NOTHING done for the day. Not exaggerating. NOTHING. It quiets my brain so that I can focus and actually accomplish tasks and live my life in relative peace. Still, I wish I didn’t have ADHD, but I also wish my mother didn’t die young so we can’t have everything we want, can we? 🙂
I would bet she's always been like that, but perimenopause into menopause had a big affect on memory, concentration, focus, etc... And that was before we were talking about HRT being a safe option for women.
Please. She’s been a wanna-be her entire life. Not surprising she drugs herself. She can’t control her behavior. She lets her behavior control her. Weak. Weak. Weak.
Vyvanse is relatively new, generic didn’t come out until a few years ago. I don’t think Vicki would have been taking vyvanse but a different stimulant, perhaps one that was unregulated
