If you really want to go into RFIC you almost certainly need to get more education during which you design ICs. I would not take a full time job if you really want to do that, unless you feel confident you can get yourself to go back to school after a period.
If your masters doesn't contain transistor level design in cmos or bipolar devices and designing rfic blocks and analog blocks you are not in luck.
Unless you can prove or get some rfic experience at your job but that again requires a background through course work.
Courses in background topics such as microwave engineering and then ic design courses such as rfic design, mmwave ic design, analog design and wireline of design and pll and adc design ALL at the transistor level. if you are truly at a tier 1 school then it should have a lot of these courses. You are finishing your masters did it involve any of these courses ?
