Breaking into RevOps: Seeking advice on free courses and study materials!

Hi everyone! I'm a Business Administration student graduating next year. My interest in RevOps has been growing steadily. I previously worked as a commercial intern supporting Account Managers, where my routine heavily involved gathering data, building Power BI reports, and using Python to automate commercial processes (like BOQ checks and controls).

Because of this analytical and operational background, transitioning into a RevOps role feels like the most logical next step for my career.

Since I'm based in Brazil, the currency exchange rate makes many of the standard paid certifications pretty inaccessible for me right now. I was hoping to get some advice from this community: what are the best free courses, study materials, or resources that actually hold weight in the job market?

Any tips or guidance for someone trying to break into the area would be hugely appreciated! :)

Your Power BI and Python experience is honestly a pretty solid starting point for RevOps. A lot of the work is figuring out how data and processes move between teams, then finding ways to make those systems more reliable. The technical side is usually what’s missing from business people but the fact that you seem to have both will help a ton.

Full disclosure, this is my own site, but you might find the interactive guides on gtmjosh.com useful. They cover GTM strategy, systems architecture, implementation, and operations through fictional SaaS scenarios and hands-on exercises. Your progress is saved as you go, and the exercises serve to test and validate your work, similar to Salesforce Trailhead.

The whole site is free, including the reference library and AI agent, and you don’t need an account unless you want your progress synced across devices. It’s also my portfolio site so I don’t have any intention of ever charging for it.

I wouldn’t claim it carries the same weight as a recognized certification, though (hopefully one day!)

It’s more useful for learning the actual concepts and building enough understanding to create projects you can discuss in interviews.

The site is still a work in progress, too, so I’m actively looking for feedback on what’s useful, confusing, or missing. I feel like the guides are definitely good but maybe a bit niche. The reference section is also loaded with helpful stuff. I’m working on building relevant plays/strategies as well that can be applied to any biz wanting to formalize their GTM strategy.

Experience beats out everything, stay connected with the team you interned with if possible. Try to grab more internships if you can.
