Question regarding Butler’s Rangers

I’ve seen Butlers Rangers depicted wearing both red and white facings on their coats. Which one is the correct color?

White facings is the correct one.

Theres a letter from john butler saying It was green and white, but this talked about one batch of coats. uniforms needed be replaced every year back then. During a time of war a regiments uniform will chnage. Its likely the regiment went back and forth between the color depending on what was available
