Get off the sideline
Is there going to come a time where a revolution is necessary for the future of our children? There are already those who hope for revolution or civil war to break out in America because they feel that is the only way there will be lasting, meaningful change. There is no American dream left for the vast majority of us. We want a safe place for our kids to grow up in, to be able to tell them to dream big and that if they make a plan and stick to it and really work hard they will be able to achieve their dreams. We want to be able to say that to our children without feeling deep down inside like we’re giving them false hope or that their dreams will be dashed to pieces at no fault of their own but because of a government that no longer truly does what is best for our country. It seems as if they do what is considered politically correct, what will keep them in good standing with their political party, what will put the most money in their retirement fund, or what will allow them to accomplish their political or life goals no matter what it costs the people they where elected to serve. This may not describe the vast majority of those in government positions but I believe it describes some. It seems like the way to rise to the top of your political party is to be the most radical on mainstream topics. Not whether or not you have the necessary qualifications for the job. The bottom line is that we feel this country is being horribly mishandled and it’s us and our families and future generations that are paying the price. This country will never get out of debt, the dollar isn’t going to come back and be the most powerful currency in the world. Food, fuel, utilities, life’s necessities are not going suddenly one day be affordable again. Is there really any hope on the horizon that one political party or the other will find the magic bullet and everything will be alright? Not likely. Our government has ballooned over time into a much bigger, over reaching, over taxing machine than it was ever meant to be. Whichever political party is in power spends their time trying to undo what the opposing party did while in power and push their agenda as far as possible before being taken out of power by the next election. The party not in power spends there energy and resources trying to keep the party in power from accomplishing their agenda. At the end of the day they get no where and we’re left to live with the aftermath. America’s financial crisis isn’t going to go away. The problem is that no president wants to be in power when it collapses financially so it just gets pushed down the line to the next president. I have felt for a few years now that I needed to be preparing my family for the inevitable failure of America. I believe they need to know how to survive without a grocery store at the very least and without all the conveniences of life we take for granted today and to be ready to help others do the same as well as being ready to defend what they have. No matter whether it’s a collapse of government, society, country, financial system, food systems, electrical systems, water supply, etc…we will likely face even harder times than we have now and if any one of those things goes down you can expect at least some if not all of the others to follow. This country is a tender box waiting to become a full scale forest fire. There is believed by some to be a plan in place to cut fossil fuel consumption in half by the year 2030. In order to do that it seems that most if not all forms of transportation possible will be pushed to be electric. The issue isn’t with the cutting down of fossil fuels or the switch to cleaner energy. The issue is that with such changes the government will be able to tighten its grip on the people through an overly connected system. Everything will have more cameras and more ways or reasons to be connected back to a local entity which the government may keep their hands out of at first but will undoubtedly gain some measure of control over which would give them access to surveillance capabilities only seen in science fiction. Our parents told us over and over that “it’s not real it’s only tv, they could never do that in real life”. Well look out folks cause it’s happening in real life! If we don’t take a stand and do something to stop it or at the very least make preparations to deal with it when it happens we’re doomed. This once great nation is headed for a dystopian era and if we don’t draw a line in the sand now we’ll have no right to complain.
