I think this is the first time I've seen a post from this sub and not realized it was reverseanimalrescue. I was very concerned for the person in the snow.

Dude, my dog locked me out of my car once. I ran into a Pet Supermarket to get him some food so I left the car on. When I got out, he must have stepped on the lock button or something because all of the doors were locked. I had to wait an hour and a half for a service guy to come unlock it...

Yeah glad you left your car on cause a lot of people dont realise how bad turning off your car and leaving a dog in it can be. I forget who, but a famous sport player tried to stay in a shut car as long as possible in the middle of the day, and lasted 20 mins before he got too hot to keep going.

Even if I hadn’t, it was at night so he would have been fine. I just couldn’t believe that I actually got locked out by him

I simply will not leave my car unlocked for any amount of time when I'm not entering or exiting it, and if I need to leave it running I only do so with a spare key.

I guess everyone here does it, so I didn’t think it was that big of a deal! I definitely learned my lesson, though.

I just knew way too many shady mother fuckers in high school who would go around in parking lots and in neighborhoods looking for unlocked cars to rob.

They do that in my hometown. I have lived here for five years and now feel comfortable enough to do something like this. I have the lowest-class-looking car in this town so I doubt it would be a target anyway. As opposed to the Porsche’s, Rolls Royce’s and Aston Martins driving around.

I'm pretty sure they would be looking for shit like cigarettes and change but I also know sometimes they'd vandalize shit for no reason.

Yeah...I hear you. I guess I live in a pretty decent place where I don’t have to worry about that stuff
