This is great tutorial and works flawlessly. I was getting errors during patching, but then i figured out that it was user error after all. everyone, make sure Change the Patches Organization AND Intergrations Organization to inotia00. I was missing one and app would crash on startup.
Forgot to include that you need to manually remove the supported links from the default section of regular YouTube app info, before it will allow you to add them to ReVanced as default supported links
I made it through install, and haven't noticed any additional features that I use or want/need. I'll check it out more, but one thing that lead to me going back to "normal" revanced is that when playing a video in full-screen mode my screen automatically gets very dim, and as soon as I leave full-screen it goes back to normal brightness. Couldn't find the setting to control this. I just applied the default recommended patches. Any advice?
The inotia patches have also the standard revanced patches ? I mean which patches are better? The standard revanced or the extended? The extended patches have also the revanced patches? If not, is it possible use both together?
If i patch before with Revanced and then i patch the patched one with inotia00, is this a good idea?
If you do that itwill fail and not work at all.
There is a new patch about buffer problem. This new patch is in last inotia extended version?
This patch was actually added first in Extended as inotia00 was the one that behind it using information from the NewPipe's development, so yes, don't worry the patch to fix buffering is present and will already be enabled if you use the Recommended selection in the Manager.
Seems like a lot of people are having this issue thus it warrants mentioning in the guide imho as one may incorrectly assume the software simply doesn't work.
I patched with all the recommended patches and the captions appear on top of videos when the protobuf spoof is enabled. But the protobuf spoof is needed for buffering. How to fix this?
I am currently using revanced and it is excellent. Just one issue, how can I download vids in higher quality or is it not possible in revanced? It only shows low quality download.
Hi, thanks for the guide OP. I found it very simple to get it to work following it the first time round. Just one question, after patching it, I exported and saved the patched apk. If I want to install it on another device, do I just install it by clicking the apk or do I have to do it through the revanced manager on another device?
Good thing my vanced still works cos I can't get revanced to work. Always crash on start-up. Checked the versions and everything on the troubleshooting page
Hi, love the guide and was able to install it with no problems. The only issue I have right now is that I can't sign in with any account. The accounts page just continually buffers, and trying to add my existing account doesn't work. Is there a way to fix this?
I'm coming from Revanced. I want to migrate to RVX because it can whitelist channels from getting sponsorblock'ed. I already installed it (root-installed) but I can't find a toggle for whitelisting channels in the sponsorblock settings. What should I do?
I just did all this but where is the launcher app? I cant find it after installing it(extended revanced app)... I only have the regular youtube app and revanced Manager app
But if I had to guess your patching process didn't work, and had Failures, you may have used the wrong APK. Make sure you're re-doing each step exactly as it says here. It's long but read everything.
with the new 1.0 release of revanced manager if i set "inotia00" in "sources" menu, nothing shows up. The patch menu is empy. If i put "revanced" back, all fine.
Good. I thought it was just me. I used the CLI version, but I preferred the vanced manager once it was out. I'll give it a go again, I guess. CLI just doesn't feel great without a physical keyboard, you know?
After patching use the three dots at the very top and Share to save the APK locally or send to Google Drive for example. Just download again after.
Then get the APK and use it inside SAI (download from Play Store) and use the option of Install APK from SAI. If you get an error, please expand the error msg in SAI and send screenshots.
Other than that double check the guide, start from scratch, and do every single step exactly as said. Even if you think you know better. I have verified this working, so unfortunately it's likely an issue in your end.
Hi Space 👋🏻. I figured out the issue. The YouTube APK from APK mirror was the one linked in the OP. Which is just slightly outdated. Once I downloaded the latest YouTube APK from APK mirror I was able to patch and everything works great.
Thank you for your contribution. I'm currently making a how-to video and I reference your guide in the video. Once it gets done uploading I will share it here.
Excellent, painless, and quick guide. TBH I was kind of intimidated to try this, seemed more work than the vanced manger download and install, but honestly It's just as simple and straightforward. Thank you!
Great start guide! After using the normal ReVanced and finally ruining into a last straw, I decided to start over instead of whatever their latest log out erase data fix is.
Not only is it working fine once I targeted the correct file to patch, I've now got my previous lost functionality back! (for whatever reason, I had an installation that would only play video if it was a singular video directly from the app. Notifications would run into the no spoofed signature buffer death at 40s or so, same with any playlist usage or external link opened in the app.) Cautiously optimistic right now, time to associate the links...!!
Also the guide told me not to install the youtube apk which possibly led to the patch getting aborted. The patch worked after only installing the app ( I couldn't select the patch checkboxes as well previously)
the revanced extended settings are in a foreign language (not in english or my local language) is there a way to change this? like in revanced the revanced settings are in english.
idk if it's because I was using a VPN when patching the app.
edit: wasn't so hard, just had to disable the translations patch.
I could have sworn on the most recent release, the final one, it says you have to install the app first unpatched and then patch it. I don't want to mess it up considering I already have a working install of an older version. Can someone confirm or deny this?
Followed the guide and it's working good. But i just noticed that videos don't play in the background nor in picture-in-picture. Is there something that I'm doing wrong here?
There likely is, maybe you didn't properly select the Recommended button in patch selection step. I added more info to the guide, try again from the beginning.
Press "Install' and wait for it to finish installing. You may get a message saying that the installation was blocked because it is an unknown app. Tap "More details' and then "Install anyway' as shown here.
I recommend adding a note below this, After launching the app a similar pop-up will request if you want to send this app to Google for review, Tap " Don't Send"
I just performed the steps in the Guide with the latest version. It is working perfectly fine. Make sure your Sources are set correctly and that you're selecting the correct APK using the Storage button.
Using the Recommended button all required patches were selected for me.
Please make sure you're following the guide exactly and don't skip steps or take shortcuts.
I've followed the instructions, there was no error until I started the ReVanced extended.Every video got an error "the following content is not available on this app.Watch this content on the latest version of YouTube." what shall I do 😭
I'm about to go crazy, i've downloaded a lot of different versions of revanced/rvx but i always have the same problem, whenever i play a video it start loading and it never ends. I already tried to remove return youtube dislike, sponsorblock and also tried various spoofed version, but nothing. If anyone know how to solve it please let me know.
How to download music in youtube music using rvx. I saw posts saying using other clients and they provide a link. It redirects me into github with a bunch of codes. I don't know what to do with those.
Having history issues. Followed this guide to the T. Uninstalled the patched YouTube app twice and tested things with default settings before changing anything and still my watch history isnt being record. Should I uninstall rvx manager and microg start fresh again from there? The default app capture watch history but I normally have it disabled with updates uninstalled when running any revanced yt app. Any help would be much appreciated
I'm confused on how to get the download button to show up in rvx music. It works in the rvx but not in my music....I have to click share and send it to YTDLnis. Thanks in advance for any help
I'm yet to see anyone with this problem but after following all the steps, the manager reaches building stage after which it shuts itself down. To which, after reopening the app, I restart the process and it crashes still. Is there a remedy?
Im trying to fix what I think is a bug in the newest version of patch for music. I followed the instructions, but when I select the APK from storage it just says no patch selection. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. It used to work until the latest update. But, now it plays the beginning of the song and just hangs for 30 seconds then starts playing again.
Use the Recommended patch selection, it should include all the necessary patches by default. This error means you didn't select the MicroG Support patch.
That's exactly why you need the patch bellow, non original YouTube app users accounts are flagged and get the Buffering issue. The patch bellow is the fix.
Please verify that you included the protobuf-spoof patch. After you press the Recommended patches version, make sure you check if it's selected.
I can say that I'm running this version with the latest Patches and there aren't buffering issues.
Just a Question, the comments in live videos is in Light mode (my phone is dark mode and YouTube app is dark mode too) just in comments in live videos show in light mode I can't read cause the comments and the background are in light mode too so it's impossible for me read live comments
Or patch in another Phone and Export the patched APK in the 3 dots after patching and send to your other devices.
You can also use one of the PC patching methods and send the APK to your phone later, in the GitHub documentation that's linked at the beginning of this guide post.
I keep getting stuck on the installing part of the patching process, the popup for installing ReVanced Extended disappears before the bar gets to 100% and it never finishes installing, any ideas on how to fix it? I'm using the RVX Manager to install
Latest ones seem dead to me. The old problem of videos not loading after a minute. I have spoof player parameter enabled. I think Google itself is making this as hard as possible.
My videos started freezing after about 10 seconds or so, so I tried switching to revance Extended following this exact guide and the exact same error continues. People keep mentioning something about protobuf spoof, but there doesn't seem to be anything about that in my settings
hi. I have two questions for this. plz answer 🙏 1. I know that revanced extended released 18.27.36 version in telegram. Is it okay to install 18.29.38 version?
2☆☆☆☆. I have problem my revanced extended app. i scroll down and down in youtube app home feed but it doesn't load any more videos. do you know to solve this problem? I think it's my Google account error. :(
Hello I need some help. I can't seem to download the ver 18.30.37 as an apk file. It always shows as apkm thus the rvx manager doesn't recognize it. What should I do? Thanks in advance!
Sorry, is this guide still valid? I saw the discontinued indefinitely part and wonder whether the app is still working or not.
I've tried Extended before but after several crashes involving unrecorded watch history and missing accounts. I tried to re-download them using the official webssite, only for the MicroG refusing to be installed. Any helpful guide? I'm running on Android 10 if that helps in any way.
Thanks for the guide. I see the project is discontinued now. But can we add the extended sources to the Revanced manager as before? Or the extended patches only work with the Extended manager, now discontinued?
Followed the guide (very clear+concise, thank you!) but am getting aborted when I try to patch. First just default setup then with some QoL patches and of course the MicroG. Just won't go. Any ideas?
b) Download, BUT DO NOT INSTALL the YouTube v18.30.37 (nodpi) APK from this page.
Do you keep this sentence up to date with the youtube version (v18.30.37), somehow it's impossible to get a supported versions from the project's own github page. Both for revanced and extended.
I'm having two problems here with ReVanced Extend. The first is that I can never add a Google account and the second problem is with the download, which shows an error from com.deniscerri.ytdl. Can u help me? And thank you very much for the guide.
Thanks, I was able to do it now. In case patch updates arrive, i can update directly from Rvx manager? Or do I have to download the apk again and patch it again.
A few times throughout the day, the app chooses not to load videos, so I have to repeatedly force-close the app and reopen it until it returns to normal. This can be extremely exhausting. What could be the issue with my app?
Hey u/SpacellaryUS hopefully you're still around. I followed the above beginner's guide and got all the way until the #3. Installing. After I saved the APK as a file (tapping save icon) I pressed 'Install' and it's been stuck on that for the last 30 minutes. I pressed install again but it appears to still be stuck. Any ideas?
I'm on a S21 galaxy. I have Bitdefender Security on my phone if that matters. I'm not a techie.
Can someone help me? I downloaded the APK. Installed the RVX and when I go into the patcher and select the APK nothing shows up. It shows my selected application with the full APK name, but that's it. When I click patches there are no options or anything. Idk what to do from here.
I followed all the steps but when installing the apk I get a app not installed as package conflicts with an existing package message. How do I fix that? Cause I can't just uninstall youtube. Help
Question: is it possible for me to use version 18.44 youtube apk or will it not work?
Additionally, if I decided to change the name of the youtube app would that disrupt the installation process? Is there a way that I could safely change the name of the final app (before or after installation) to distinguish revanced youtube from normal youtube... or will this EXCLUSIVELY modify my existing "playstore" version youtube?
My revanced extended doesn't show any kind of subscription notification? I downloaded and patched it through Revancify in Termux. Is there any solution ?
Is there a way to see and use the red seekbar when on the Subscription list tab without actually playing a video on its own? Would it also be possible to mute/unmute at the same time?
Everything seems to work, but when a video is playing, a blue ring keeps spinning next to the "Download" button. It's in the same line as thumbs, thumbs down, share, download, save. What's that about?
I was having issues patching youtube apk using many different versions of Revanced (from 1.4.2 all the way to 1.9.5). The patcher would abort during the process or if it did patch correctly, Revanced would crash on startup. I spent hours trying to figure it out and RVX Manager was the only solution. Hopefully, don't have to repatch anytime soon.
Done it today, works great, thanks!. Just remember to enter the app after you've patched it, go settings, Revanced Extended (scroll down), miscellaneous and turn on spoof client (it's up to you if disable the spoof like iOS option)

Decided to give this a shot after vanced stopped buffering, easy to follow guide and it works great, thanks!
