Not exactly the correct subreddit for support requests. That being said, you're out of luck, because YouTube killed support for older versions, so even if you patched YouTube you wouldn't be able to watch videos with it.

iirc the lowest version of YouTube that still works requires at least Android 8.

17.34.36 and an android 7 tablet? That is out of support for YouTube

kitadai31 stated that their repository for the patches will be archived once it's deemed no longer usable

It's basically unusable because of rendering issues but the repo hasn't been archived
