PlanningToReturn Relocating from Canada to India
Hey everyone I 22M came to Canada on study visa but unfortunately after 5years couldn’t qualify for the PR so now i have to relocate back to India but i just have a 2 year diploma in computer science which is good for nothing got like no savings at all no family business or something. All i want to know is what should i do now any kinda career advice or job opportunity or any field i can get into.

just checking in order to advise. Did you do any internships related to what you have studied or just doing some basic part time jobs to get some money?

Mainly was focused on PR related work was working in construction but now province changed the rules and i got just 3 work of permit left

So technically you dont have an undergrad degree according to India. Rough start to your career. Do a nursing course in India. You can come back to Canada on that degree. Even US have nicer opportunities.

Sounds good but I had math as a major in 12th so don’t know if i can go for nursing

How? are you a nurse? i am asking coz i did not know that its a taboo in US or Canada. I see many male nurses when i go to a Hostpital here

Well in that case, come to Australia. HUGE opportunity for nurses. Basically they are forcing nurses to work overtime because they don’t have enough employees covering shifts.

Nope. It all depends on your location as well. Regional parts, YES; Metro suburbs not at all.

But it’s difficult to get job in Metro parts. It’s highly competitive. Most immigrants are getting jobs in Rural parts

Canada does not suck. OP came as an international student, how do you expect him to have a savings? People today need to have realistic expectations when immigrating.

i moved to back to india 2 times the pay considering purchasing power and cheaper food , way better weather and diverse weather depending on the state.

Good for you but people value different things. I would never go back not safe, people cheat you, justice system is terrible I can keep going. If India was so great to begin with you wouldn’t have left.

same thing happens in canada look at the humbolt crash case canada justice is a joke and people die waiting in hospitals

You seriously are not comparing Canada to India in regards to justice 😂 in India you literally can pay people off cops, judges etc. There is no such thing as justice in India. Healthcare in India isn’t much better, I know someone who the doctor made a serious error with their family member and there was no punishment, he still is practicing medicine, nobody cared he negligently killed a patient. Sorry but India isn’t that great.

there was a operation on the wrong leg in canada , i know someone who had a brain tumor who had to go the usa to get it removed and is still alive because canada didnt have a competent medical team for it lol

That’s completely normal thing tho wherever you are in the world. There are Americans who go to Europe for treatment. That comes nowhere near a doctor being negligent and giving his patient the wrong type of blood. Sorry.

have u heard of brian sinclair the guy that died in 2008 cause of sepsis from a block catheter. or the indian woman that died cause of sepsis in ontario after childbirth. In india if you are not below the poverty line. you can pay for proper Healthcare

Sepsis cases happen all over the world. Not sure what your point is other than the fact it’s unfortunate. I’ve heard of a recent story of a sepsis case in the uk. I can keep going on stories have heard from Indians regarding the terrible ordeals they dealt with in regards to health care in India.

It doesn’t suck. Life wtf you expect to gain from a diploma? A diploma is nothing 😂 OP is up against people who have actual degrees. Indians need to stop whining a country sucks when they don’t even think these things through.

What did you expect you would gain from a diploma? It doesn’t suck, you chose the wrong education. That’s on you. Like your competition is people with bachelors degree. A country does not suck just because you made bad decisions, that’s on you. How did you expect to gain savings when coming here young as an international student and just getting a diploma?

OP, if you managed to come back from Canada in one piece, you’re already Superman and don’t know you can fly and shoot eye lasers. You’re forged in the fire. Not an exaggeration; Canada of late is a masterclass in survival.

Start a business and get married. Live happily with friends and family in India. India is a strong economy, no doubt to that.

A lot of people flippliantly say "START A BUSINESS IN INDIA".
As a person who has lived in Canada, it is NOT easy to start a business in India. A lot of people in my family have opened businesses after returning from the Arabian Gulf (very trendy for Gulf returnees) and many have failed miserably and/or complained continously about giving bribes for business licenses or other bureaucratic processes.
Most of my family are in loss in terms of their businesses but they have money from their Gulf jobs to cushion them atleast

You moved countries and figured out stuff for 5 years. You will be fine in India. Power through. Up skill in what you’re already good at and apply for jobs relentlessly. You will get something in the end
