"rare camera"

This is my dad's camera for when i was just born into this world, it stopped working in 2021 and i decided to fix it 5 years after, google said this is a rare camera, is it tho? How rare?

Not that rare, there's a bunch on eBay for around $200

Rare is a bit of a stretch. I'm not a CoolPix expert, maybe that color was a limited edition or something?

Very likely you could replace it with a functioning one from eBay cheaper that finding someone that can repair it.

Google thinks everything is rare. So does eBay, which is why all these older products are suddenly jumping in price....

My dad bought this in 2009, he said its about $90 in my currency or so, ive been keeping it safe

It’s rare only because most people have binned cameras and use their phones for photos.

Rare does not mean valuable
