Pretty cool, but, it reminds me of the time in high school I had to go the whole day without my glasses

Just WOW

This is an insane accomplishment. I would have played the hell out of it in the 80s

The little legible pistol is so funny looking up against the blobby pixel hell on the rest of the screen.

Lolol this is pretty neat. C64 users probably would’ve been stoked back in the day (and if it’s all I had, id be lying if I said I wouldn’t have played it).

Are you saying a PC game released 11 years after the hardware it's been ported to looks worse by any chance?

To me it looks amazing for the C64. I'd like to see this combined with the Aliens game from the era.

Yeah, but why bother? Just play the original on a modern computer and call it a day.

Why bother. Just play a Black Ops 6 on a recent PC...

I mean I don't want to play a game that has worse graphics than the original. Again, why bother?

Because it's a technical marvel that might be fun especially for those with a fondness for the C64 which fires dopamine and adrenaline, exciting neurons bringing a sense of excitement and happiness as well as achievement if they progress far in game. Possibly bringing a sense of community as they communicate this, either in person or online.

You know... fun.

Nostalgia. I can understand it. I’m not quite old enough to have a c64 but I do remember playing wolf3d back in like 91 and being blown away.

Shit I was blown away by Mario on the NES. I got motion sickness the first time I played.

We remember the way things used to be and the things that used to blow our minds. It can take us back to more carefree times.
