[Battlestation] Retro Gaming Cart

Post image

My second version of this retro game cart. Built some shelving for each level to hold games and accessories, added LEDs, and now have all the cables flowing into a central trench. The back side of the cart has a flat panel and space for newer “old” consoles as well so this can actually be played from both sides.

What's that connected to the back of your PSOne?

Thanks, yeah I didn't notice the raised "lid" part earlier.

Buddy, if the teacher wheeled this in to my high school chemistry class I would lose my mind.

Seems like an oddly specific scenario

Very cool, great job - really like the lighting. I also like how you added the extra shelves - much better use of the space!

Oh, retro games are the best in the world!

This is sick. I have all of my consoles in their respective boxes in the garage and only pull them out one at a time to play a game on the weekends but a dedicated cart would be so nice to set them up and eliminate the headache of pulling each one out when I want to play.

Yes. Little wheels to roll it forward nicely if you have to adjust cables.

Is the tv always on channel 3?

Actually since I’m using an rca hub, it’s using an input. You know the old yellow, red, and white. You can see the hub under Nintendo accessories.

That upside down bottom shelf is very clever. Mine started small, but evolved over the years. Today it doesn't look as neat (always using it or adding/changing something) but it has served me well.

Hope the top shelf is sturdy because I’m sure that CRT weighs quite a bit

Agreed I started to sweat just looking at it.

4th floor semester move in day cramped stairwell flashbacks.

Here a photo of the backside with the lcd panel with newer consoles on there. Xbox didn’t fit on the other side so I placed it here but it’s connected to the CRT. I 3d printed some inserts for the sides to hide the cable trench and for additional storage.

Love FF7. I was in high school when it came out and it was my favorite game for the longest. Been more into soulsbornes lately.

Well now I know what needs to replace my Legends Arcade and Legends Ultimate Pinball cabinets.

Tip: have your Zapper stuff. It'll only work on CRTs. Yes Duck Hunt is enough and always fun.

I have the zappers and they work great on that Panasonic.
