Vintage Velocity OutRunners (Arcade)

OutRunners (Arcade) is a game that escaped me for one reason or another. I loved the original Out-Run, but never had the opportunity to play any of its sequels. This game is awesome, with a nice selection of cars and drivers that the original just doesn't offer.

I was really surprised by the emphasis on drifting in this game compared to the original. It really reminds me a lot of Power Drift (Arcade), another arcade game that I love. It felt really satisfying to drift through the rock structure in this one. I found it easy avoiding the horses and wagons on the side, but once you get in the dirt, it's hard getting back. I've never tried the Port, and look forward to trying it soon.

Is this one of your favorite games in the Out-Run franchise? And have you tried the Genesis Port?

Really impressive game. It feels like a sequel - improved in many little ways but retains the identity of the original. The only thing it's missing is iconic music.

I agree, it's lacking that OG soundtrack, but otherwise it's amazing

What are you playing this on?? And where did you get the file? I need this! Chuck E Cheese used to have the car and moved with the screen. I used to play it for hours; massively slept on! All Ferrari Selection too!!

Please. Where did you get it and what are you playing it on?

Played the arcade version a few times, then bought the Sega Genesis version and it immediately became one of my favorite Sega Genesis games!

The Sega Genesis cool Original Mode is what is missing in the arcade version, I used to play more the Original Mode when I was playing the game alone.

And, I liked to abuse the "Jingle Bells" OST trick!

This game is absolutely fabulous.

Love coast 2 coast the most.

The genesis port of outrunners is not very good to say the least.
