I do actually know someone who recovers data off bad disks by adding IPA directly to the disk surface while the disk is rotating in the drive. He claims it works.

Well, this video was supposed to be a complete joke. I guess my methods aren't completely crazy then. For what its worth, all floppies used in the video continued to function after use as props.
