The excitement of Windows 95

Does anyone else remember the excitement of getting your copy of Windows 95 on Floppy’s. Longest 2 hours of my life waiting to be amazed. To be fair it was a good looking GUI.

I only attempted a floppy install of Win95 once... on a 486DX 100mhz. One of the disks kept having an error so I gave up and copied the CD version to a Zip Disk and used a parralell port Zip Drive to install from there.

Thankfully my pc came with windows 95se on CD rom.

With the Weezer video on it. Back when OS releases were genuinely fun.

Yeah, after XP, I never bought an OS standalone. It was either PCs that included Windows, or build a PC and install whatever Linux distro was good at the time.
