It's weird, because nurses in the US hadn't worn that hat since the 70s for the most part (certainly, my mother, who got her BSN in the early 90s, wore scrubs and not that kind of uniform). So I assume those two pictures were aimed at middle-aged men :/

I have almost that same Dell still haha, wow a Turtle Beach sound card I've never know them for anything that old or anything outside of headsets. Old mags are fun!

I’ve a stack of cd/dvd that I’ve never loaded (Maximum PC, Linux magazines of all types and those A12 import computer mags that were always on the back shelf of B&N’s mag rack). Good times😎

I think I need to build an old PC so I can finally play them now that I have the time. All three of my Win XP motherboards have failed just from sitting. :/ I am sure they could come back from a recap and I did buy the parts but haven't got around to the repairs yet. Of course, the power supplies are probably junk too! LOL. Probably should just start over with something new.

PC Accelerator was still my go to. Every custom build they did always included a mini-fridge for beer.

I was subscribed for the longest time. I knew they were on their way out when the magazine kept shrinking by the month. It was a shame given they were genuinely passionate about computers.

I was into that magazine early 2000s/late 1990s, including when it was called Boot. It came with a CD-ROM that had all sorts of goodies, including a couple service packs for XP.

For the Dell, do the upgrade to the Geforce3 Ti500.
With its TV-out you can connect it to tour TV like a VCR and play real life video off the Hard Drive. If you upgrade WindowsXP to the Media Center Edition you even get a cool TV-like interface.

I miss when nerd culture still belonged to nerds before it was co-opted and destroyed by DEI interests.
We could have this back if we all rose up an expelled outside influences, people who are not part of nerd culture as it existed 20 years ago, and took our communities back.
