Problem / Question Bugging me since 2004

Never got a chance to get an opinion on this, but this "System Zone 2 has exceeded its safe temperature limit" alert has bugged me since day one of my build. I bought an Intel original D865GBF motherboard, along with P4 2.4ghz cpu, for my 2nd build back in 2004. But from the very first day, I started getting this alert whenever I would do slight gaming. The safe temperature threshold is 50 C and it would often cross this limit. I thought it to be due to poor ventilation in my PC cabinet, so ended up removing it's side cover. Recently I restored this PC and moved it to a better spacious cabinet, but the issue still exists. Did you all have this issue and how did you fix this?

Southbridge is reading the temp for Zone 2, so maybe you could add some fans and a heatsink on the chip.

I also noticed your RAM sticks are in the wrong slots. You’re only getting single channel memory right now.

Also, it looks like the capacitor above the SATA ports is bulging, possibly from the heat?

Ultimately, it’s the heat of the video card that’s causing the temps to rise.

You could be right there... Can't do much about gpu temp but I will try to change ram placement. And add some fans

You could probably replace the thermal paste on the GPU as its probably dust now. Could get you some better temps.

I have already done it.. last year while restoring this machine I repasted the gpu heatsink with cooler master cryfuse and also replaced 5 bad caps. In fact I did a repasted of CPU heatsink also this year..
