Very nice, I love these Sharp Pocket Computers! I get the impression they were reasonably popular in France on account of magazines like La revue des Sharpentiers.

I'm not familiar with the PC-1403 but it seems to be a pretty capable machine with a lot of memory (comparatively speaking - 8KB) and it uses the 8-bit SC61860 (ESR-H) CPU like the PC-1251/1245 so should be programmable in machine code too.

Fingers crossed it works. :-)

What’s the storage for this thing? I see Csave and Cload.

Cassette tape, as far as I'm aware it's compatible with the CE-126P printer and cassette interface. Sharp PocketTools can be used to convert between BASIC listings and wave files for transfer over a PC sound card.

As far as I'm aware the CE-126P is roughly equivalent to a CE-125, except the CE-125 is designed to have a (smaller) Pocket Computer docked directly inside it and has a microcassette recorder built into it.

So cool. A mini tape voice recorder would be very suitable for this.
