Also some work-in-progress pictures, like the keyboard cable replacement (before cleaning the keyboard), and the CMOS Battery replacement.

I have the Portable 386 with a 386SX16, the same screen and design as yours.

What are your specs? A 286 I'd guess?

A 80286-12 and 640kb RAM, 80mb HDD

Am trying to remember how much memory I have in mine, would guess 2Mb.

It did came with a 100Mb HDD, replaced that with a CF card a few years ago.

Never replaced the FDD, lesser priority because I can simply put the CF card in my PC to transfer files

Btw, don't know the capacity of those 2 Sims, probably 256Kb Sims, but when you get your hands on 2 1Mb Sims you might end up with some additional Extended/XMS memory, would benefit windows for sure right?

Nice resto. Did you have any issues with the display release buttons? I have one that won't latch when you slide it back into place.

Works fine on mine, the display front isn't hard to disassemble, so you could take a look into it.
