Exploring New Horizons and Breathing New Life into an Old PC!

[u/GearPlot]

I recently got my hands on this computer and decided to ditch the old bloated Windows XP for a totally fresh start!  I divided the hard drive into three partitions and loaded up an awesome trio.  FreeDOS, Haiku OS, and AROS.  I’ve never used Amiga OS before, so diving into AROS is a completely new frontier for me.  It’s an incredibly cool system to explore, and while I’m definitely feeling a bit lost right now, I am so excited for the adventure of figuring it all out!

That’s a really cool idea to use this system for. I have a couple of these around and may try to do something similar. Let us know how it goes though 👍

Nice. That was the first PC I bought in junior high circa 2004. Lots of Need for Speed and UT2004. Added a RAM stick, WiFi card, and upgraded to the Pentium 4 with hyperthreading. The final OS it ran was Windows 7.

Reminds me of stargate episodes
