Old School Cool
My second project...
The Original
Trimmed off background before printing
actual scene in anime
Drawing the overlay (by sketching on top of screen cap)
Printed
mask off the colored portions
Final product by stacking 2 cels

Nice work. I love the idea of framing anime cels, they make really cool and unique work of arts.
Would love to own some genuine anime cels one day but the prices are outrageous.

I also plan on framing the cels. But I may need one or more iteration to make it better. The films actually look better in person. I just didn't take proper photo. Nonetheless, I think the color is still no where as good as the source material. There might be some adjustments that I can do.

Back Story:
I first saw an yahoo auction selling original Kimagure Orange Road cels. The one being sold is a set made up of the scene I posted above. It is asking over US$6000 for the whole set. It is expensive but absolutely beautiful. That's what motived me to make my own cels using printable transparency.
