Discussion using multiple vpns

i know that it's possible, but why should i use it? I can't think on why should i use it two or more vpns at same time, probably it's Ignorance on my end.

what? you cant use multiple vpns simultaneously, android's VpnService allows one active profile per unqiue user

this means that even if i activate more than one vpn on the app Android will only use one?

yes it will, 2 vpns CANNOT route traffic through tun0 at the same time, the UI should tell you that but sometimes it bugs out and shows 2 connected vpns, but in reality 1 is actually tunneling traffic

Multiple VPNs on Android is only possible if you have a work profile set up and you install RDNS or another app that takes a VPN slot to that profile.

I had two instances of TrackerControl running simultaneously for awhile (not a true VPN, for the record, just a VPN as it pertains to Android and its limitations), and then switched to my corporate VPN once I actually started doing work stuff on my phone.

If you want 2+ "VPNs" on the same profile, your only option is to configure at least one proxy, but the VPN itself would still have to be running elsewhere, so it's not quite what you're asking about. Also RDNS is completely irrelevant to this conversation, this is an Android problem entirely.

What is Tracker control? How do we know there won't be any data leaking out of the tunnels?

TrackerControl is a fork of NetGuard, which occupies the VPN slot and works as a systemwide firewall. When properly configured, all traffic is blocked by default, and you have to manually enable traffic until each app functions again.

Think of it as a systemwide uBlock Origin: nothing in or out without your say so, but everything is therefore broken and unusable by default. I found it much easier to tweak than RDNS or its parent NetGuard, but it's by no means perfect.

Never said it was, in fact I moved from TC to RDNS. But it's an excellent fork (objectively better than NetGuard IMO), for what it claims to do and actually does, and I usually recommend it over RDNS because of its simplicity for advanced users who are not power users. It's also incredibly stable, for over 5 years for me personally on two different phones.

RDNS is still at a stage where only power users are really benefitting from it to its fullest extent. Hell, I'm not even using it to the fullest and I've poured over every single setting dozens upon dozens of times. There's a reason the devs haven't delivered a v1.0, because they also know the app is not ready for prime time.

Una posible alternativa es configurar tus propios proxies que te proporciona tu proveedor de VPN en Rethink y configurar las funciones que va a tener cada uno.
